I recently decided to experiment with th4e BIOS on my Mother-Board
(dangerous thing) <G>

I changed what I had picked a few years ago as my cache setting: 256K
Write-Back and changed it to Write-Thru.

When I rebooted, everything seemed to happen faster.

Perception: When running just one programme, it seemed much faster, but
when running several processes, it seemed like tasks were being performed
sequentially, but when the turn got arround, it would then be performed
faster.

Are my perceptions fooling me?

What IS the difference between Write-Back and Write-Thu??
