Hi, One thing to remember when poking around the inside of a computer is
to ground your self at the wrists whith a grounding strap attached to
ground, or to the computer case.
Your not going to hurt any thing unless you handle it ruffly.
The modem may be a "win modem" in whitch case I don't know what you would
do for dos drivers.
The cd rom drive, when you are looking in the case check to see if the
cdrom drive is conected to the sound card or if it conects to the ide
ribbon, um, the same flat ribbon like group of wires that go from the
mother board to the hard drive, it the ribbon should have a plug at each end
and one in the middle. The hard drive is attached at one end and the cd rom
is attached to the middle one.
