Yes - this is less likely to work

This is what I am not sure about! If it works, it is great, and I can
add option to read nameserver from PPP.LOG as well as IP address!

Well... I felt like the PPP.LOG method is universal, because only PPPD
creates IP-UP.BAT, while other older PPP drivers output IP address info
to standard output, or for SLIP drivers, you have to capture the
terminal program output and grab IP address from it... you are right
that it is maybne time to move to BOOTP with default Arachen setup. You
can always do this coniguration on your own (via External Dialer setup
page, for example).

It's too soon to celebrate - I don't know how many changes to WATTCP
were done since the release I am using. But hopefuly the developers will
help me getting rid of those hundereds of compile-time warnings,etc.
