Thank you for the suggestion, but I wouldn't have access to my server's
printer, if I took away its parallel connection (I don't have two parallel
ports on either of these computers).

I realize that the parallel connection is faster, but I don't have a lot of
file transferring to do, and I want to put my extra serial ports to use.

And if *IBM* says it should work, then it should work, dang it!! <G>

If it works, fine.  If it doesn't, why not?  I would like to have reasons
why or why not, not just alternatives without reasons...  if that makes
sense... <G>
