I don't know for sure, but here is some info that may be of some help.
I had IBM DOS 5.02 and Win3.1 on a 286 with a 40meg MFM drive at one point.
It crashed constantly, but I didn't really have enough memory or enough
processor to run it.....only a 1.5megs of memory and an 8mhz processor.
Keep in mind, However, that Win3.1 would have been installed to run in
standard mode, and probably had a smaller installed size than it would on a
386 on up machine.
I had Win3.1 with PCDOS 7 on a 386sx-16 with an 80meg drive.

How, why, who, and How did you get it afterwords?
My guess is that it wouldn't cause any problems, UNLESS, something became
permanently magnatized.
