I want to thank everyone for all the good tips on this, I will now be able
to tackle the machine in question (the 386) with some confidence on Tuesday.
meantime, a friend has a whack of machines to liquidate, the ones that have
been militarily decomissioned. I am going tomorrow to have a good look at
them, but I have a cautious list of what she has, if anyone is
interested. Just mail me privately to ask for it.
