Do you want the right answer .... or what they want to
hear? <G>
For MS-DOS 6.22 the right answer is 133568 bytes, but to
use windows you will need some utilities so I'm not sure
exactly but I'll bet they want to hear the size of what
MicroSoft sends you and that is 5769737 bytes. Ofcourse
that includes lots of utilites and piles of garbage which
nobody in their right mind would want to use.
I just looked at my windows directory and it looks like
around 10meg. Sorry I don't feel like doing a quick
install to see the exact size of a new setup. <g>
I do know that you can set up dos6.22 and win3.1 on a
20meg harddrive. That leaves very little room for GUI
programs so (I'm getting to the point) The answer is:
You need a minimum 40meg harddrive!
