I have the Win 3.1 manual here... Here are the minimum requirements (to work
successfully):
 MSDOS 3.1 or later

       for 386-enhanced mode:80386 processor or higher,640 k of conventional
memory plus
          1024 k of extended memory. 8 megs of  free disk space..but 10 is
recommended, and at
           least  1 floppy drive
       for standard mode: 80286 processor or higher,640 k of conventional
memory plus 256 k
           of  extended memory.6 megs of free space...9 is recommended, and
1 floppy drive.

A display adapter supported by Windows.

A printer supported by Windows, if you want to print.

A Hayes,Multi-Tech,Trail Blazer, or compatible modem.... if you want to use
Terminal, the
    Windows communications application.

A mouse supported by Windows...though not required, it is HIGHLY recommended
to take full
     advantage of the graphical interface.

NOTE: You should configure memory above 640 k as extended memory to get the
best performance from Windows.
