I have this image someday of serving very basic ISP to survPCs from my
basement using my regular telephone line and the cable modem internet I
have. I'm just now working towards being able to remote session from away
from home. When I can get smtp and Pop mail between home and laptop, that
will satisfy me. Ppl who want to surf can go to the library, I want to
provide them with email so they can access lists like this, and other
discussion/support groups. I figure to get those I can onto local ISPs or
the freenet and for those whom that won't work, run from my house.
Long way to go though. Just put together a 486 for server and I'm going to
install the linux on it at school so the class can watch along on the
process next week. Only thing is, I have the nics to get my home machings
linked, but not the hub! hehe. I'll just keep wishing. i wished so hard
for a laptop, I have three! Anyone have a power supply for an epson 286
laptop?

Failing for having moved too fast sets you back farther than caution would
have.
