 Geeks Into the Streets

Geeks Into the Streets (GITS) is a fancy-sounding name for
a small group of Baltimore-area Linux fanatics who are using
their skills to bring computers and Internet access to some
of the poorest, most disadvantaged children you can imagine.
This is not a government or corporate effort, just a bunch
of guys who saw a need and got together to fill it."

The thin clients used are mostly 486s. For less powerful
SurvPCs, we still need to write a (thinner) X-terminal
emulator. Preferably under DOS, since AFAIK, ELKS (Linux
for 8086) is not ready yet.
