hi there.
First, thanks for the help with the disk of the P350. I managed to
save most of the ruined partition, though all the filenames and
directory names in the root where lost, some files disappeared,
and some of the rest of the files and directories just scattered
around the disk.. (i've found bits of Descent 2 in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM).

Oh well. Thats better then a total lost of everything. :)

There's a question which bugs me for some time.. a heat question.
Sometimes I ran software that takes a loong time to finish their
job. But now I have a certain software which require lots of CPU
power (it crunch quite alot of numbers), and lots of time.

I've decided to use the P350, which right now got only bare DOS
on it (without even the utilities). It will need to work for 4,
maybe even 5 days non-stop. (which is why its good that I use the
DOS version, since Windows will waste resources on other unrelated
system tasks). As I type this, 20 hours have passed, and i'm abit
worried due to my last experience with computers which tended to
either burn or explode due to heat problems. The P350 is a full
tower AT box (not ATX). Got the traditional power supply fan, and
the standard fan that comes with iPentium 2's. (A CPU fan attached
to a really big heat-sink.) The computer box is open to allow
air to chill the box (not much of a help with israeli weather.).
There are no other devices besides the power-cord connected to
the computer.. every now and then i connect the screen to see the
progress.

I know that the box of this type is used for servers which work
24-hours a day for weeks. But is it still wise to leave it on like
this for 5 days? (there is barly disk activity, btw. Its mostly
crunching numbers in the CPU.)
