Hello,

I leave my computer on at all times, it's only a 386dx-33, However. It
isn't doing much when I leave it either. I leave it on for several reasons,
the first being convienence, and the second because of thermal expansion.
If I leave it on, and keep it on, all the components should stay at
realitively a constant temperature (and size).

Do you have lots of cables, cards, wires, and other stuff that would impede
airflow? I check to make sure cables, exspecially flat ribbon
cables, are routed away from your fans. I would then install the cover.
Computer cases are really designed to be used with the top on. That way the
fans can do there job, otherwise they are just blowing air around, and not
neccessarily carying heat away.
