It wouldn't take very long, and is a simple procedure.  I could do it with
my eyes closed, but you having never seen a computer might not be able to
do it.  You might check into getting the computer professionally serviced
and cleaned.  Also, if you have the interest, you might pick up a second
computer, and practice working on it.  You should be able to get a computer
real cheap from Goodwill.  It could even be something like an XT or 286.
