I have PC-DOS 2000, or more accurately PC-DOS 7.0 Rev. 1. PC-DOS 2000 is
the name of the whole package.
I replaced my DRDOS 7.02/3 with it. I have had a hard time with PC-DOS's
memory requirements. I do have a lot of drivers, and I don't remember how
much memory I had under DRDOS, but I think it was more. Ramboost is
worthless....I got more all by myself. I will say that the memory managers
of PCDOS aren't flakey like the ones that come with DRDOS. I could get some
things to work with the DRDOS memory managers, like Norton's Wipe program.
I keep on thinking that I may install DRDOS 7.02 on a machine, but use
Quarterdecks QEMM8 memory manager. I think that will work well.
I tried PTS-DOS, but didn't like the delay in the download version. I also
didn't really want to mess with something so different than what I was used
to, on my main machine.
