If I use w98 I know how to do this, it's one of the things I'm
considering.  You put the primary NIC in the first slot and the secondary
in the second slot as they're addressed in order, and install them
separately as well.  You bind one protocol and IP or such to one, and the
other to the other.  Not really hard, but yet another step and fuss.  I was
going to do that with this machine, but the darn thing wouldn't recognize
two NICs for some reason.  Doing it with the other 486 means messing with
furniture arrangements because of where the cable internet hooks up and so
I'm waiting a bit.  A hub really is the simplest way to connect a bunch
together.  Not sure I'll bother with the ARCnet though, seems more trouble
than it's worth.  Just don't know where the heck I'll get an Ethernet hub.
