Not necessarily.  Different distributions put these scripts
in different places.  All you can say for sure is that they
are in the /etc tree.

What is SetEdit like?  What lib does it use?

Sure, DOS is easier than Linux.  But DOS is still too "arcane"
for most GUI-lovers.
