Well, that's indeed done in some hours, and one or two day's exercise.
But you wouldn't have encountered all the traps and (easy) errors - and
the frustrating search in the books which don't explain... It was only
some years later (and with learning about other peoples learning
difficulties), and when I tried myself to write kind of a "Simple DOS"
guide that I learnt a bit more. Wouldn't say I ever finished, <bg>
