Usually the NetBEUI is running over another protocol. Windows defaults to
TCP/IP, but you can ask for it over IPX if you want. I would suggest
specifying TCP/IP address for each card - I have 192.168.254.1.2 and
192.168.254.254 wth a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 on my machines.
Basically, stick a pair of valid IP addresses from the same subnet in the
TCP/IP -> NE1000 and TCP/IP -> EtherCard properties.
However, my Windows networking setup is very flaky - half the time one
machine will see itself, but the other machine can see both, sometimes the
machines can only see each other, occasionally nothing happens at all.
Funnily enough, if I boot into Linux on my multi-boot box and then launch
Samba, it all works perfectly.
