To be honest: no. I've got Win 3.1 running (with 16 megs RAM) and
"multitasking" is even worse than in Win95.
Of course, 16 MB is few memory for 95, but much for 3.1.
I've got a simple arrangement with my computer: Never try to do different
things at the same time, it will take as long as if you'd do them one after
the other - and you'll give your Windows a smaller chance to get one of these
GPFs.
But perhaps the faster cpu might even allow you more multitasking - I don't
know.
Anyway, you can the surf the web as well with 3.1, best choice is the
Navigator 3, I think.
