I would think a major consideration would be whether you've got a Win
3.11-capable version of the word processor.

Although I've been spoiled by faster machines, I used a nearly identical
machine as my workhorse for a couple of years. You might want to see if you
can simply optimize that thing to get it to run better. I know running a
high video resolution with 32 bit color will sure eat up memory. There are
optimizations on the swap file and other things you can do to help too.
