Hi pippi:

A lot of people have very old 286s and 8088s stored in their garages and
attics and most of these computers will have DOS 3.3 with them.  It was a
most popular version in its day.  Go to yard sales and try visiting some
flea markets and used book stores too.  It is not a problem to format a
high density 3 1/2" disk to be compatible with a double density (720K)
disk drive of the same size.  I have done this many times with success.
Just check your DOS manual for the format parameters for the FORMAT command.
I forgot whether it was necessary to put tape over the notch.
