The computer in question is a Toshiba laptop, T1300 or such, I don't have
it in front of me and the exact number is not clear in memory
It has one 3.5" drive and won't take our usual high density disks. On the
bios screen it offers either 570 or 1.2MB as the choice of telling it which
drive it has.

I have a high density 3.5" drive on my computer and that was what I thought
I might find possible, the software offers the choice. If I stuck in a
double density disk, it would presumably spot that and format/write
accordingly.
I'm at a point where I'm ready to do that, next free evening I get, which
may be a week at least in coming.
