I think I may have missed the original post. This is basically an XT clone right?
Are you sure about the floppy drive being a 1.2meg? I didn't
think an XT would handle any high density disks......3.5" or 5.25"
Do you have a 1.2 meg floppy on your main computer? You might do as I do and
download/copy software from your main computer to a
double density disk in your high density drive. Some people have had problems doing
this and then putting the disks into double density
drives......I have had no problems with this myself. I attribute my lack of troubles
with this to the high quality Teac 1.2meg drives that I have.
