I cried til I laughed. I can understand the vexation
you must feel.
Sounds like the impact either
1) loosened one or more components on the MoBo
or
2) fractured the MoBo across a trace.
You already changed out the memory, so the most obvious
culprit is gone.
If the CPU is not soldered in, you might remove/reseat
it and test again.
Some of the results you report seem to contradict other
results, but a hairline fracture across a trace can do
this.
Of course, verifying this would require some exotic test
gear or, at the very least, removing the MoBo from the
case and scanning it with strong light/magnifying glass.
