I don't think there exists a DOS internet client that is capable of dealing
with "https" (aka secure sockets).

In order to perform the signup process I suggest you use MSIE or NetScape.

You will need a secure connection only for the signup process.  (There are
some techno-geek work-arounds that some people have posted on another
mailing list, but they are rather complicated.)

Once you have sucessfully signed up, you may then set up Net-Tamer to
connect with the service.  That is what I did.

Here is a fine point that many people miss:

The username for logging on to the Freewwweb ISP is your full email address,
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]", for example.  The username for logging on to the
mail servers is just "klewellen".
