What kind of data does it seem to mis-report?

Your BIOS "sees" your entire 2 gig HD. Do you know if the info
on the cylinders, number of heads, and the number of sectors
has been set up properly for your drive? If not, this can
cause bad sectors. You will need to look up the data on your
drive. To find specs on more than 1500 hard drives, go here:
http://www.pc-disk.de/pcdisk.htm
To learn more about your BIOS see the AMIBIOS Survival Guide.
Find it here: http://adfa.oz.au/Hardware/BIOS/AMIBIOS.htm
The Survival Guide will give info on all the identifying
numbers for your BIOS.
Good luck!
