My standard tool for working with all hard drives is SpinRite (now version 5) Take a look at <http://grc.com/spinrite.htm> The code size is less than 110K and written in assembly. Price is less than $80 USD and upgrades are less than $30, they come out about every three-four years. There is no size limit, nor controller card limit. (I have been able to save St-251 40MB drives that are over ten years old.) John Oram To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
