Heh, I wasn't declaring windows the state of the art, but that the state of
the art is that windows is the main software and that the avg joe user
can't think his way out of a window.
Yes, I do agree, windows does remove way too much of the control to the
user, but I still insist that it's the only affordable system for people
who are new to computers.  To create a linux system that is equally simple
to operate takes even more megabytes of data and becomes equally
unstable.  Computers didn't become popular till they became simple to
operate.  Now there are all sorts of things becoming possible because
non-techs have been given computers on which to create their visions.  In
time, perhaps we'll find a way to make them affordable, stable,
controllable, and simple, all in one package.
