That should have done it. It's stored the setting in the default power-on
list for the modem.

Well, if that didn't work, I'd guess at Control Panel -> Modems ->
[modem] -> Properties -> Connection tab -> Advanced... -> Extra Settings.
Assuming Win9x, of course. If *that* doesn't work, your software is
probably overridding it at modem initialisation, so the next port of call
would be somewhere in there.
