I can't believe that there are so many people willing to
subject themselves to the slow torture of EDLIN.

"Copy CON filename.txt" was usually a lot faster than
use of edlin - and had just about as many editing features.
(None that were useful... well, maybe backspace.)

I applauded Eko's idea for creating a SurvPC/DOS forum, and
really believe that the older, simpler programs are MUCH
more efficient than their replacements... with one exception:
EDLIN.

It's as though some windoze-lover was proclaiming the advantages
of a "keyboard eliminator" program which forced you to type by
clicking the mouse on letters displayed on the screen!
