Edlin brothers's learning curve are indeed much steeper <g>
Especially for those you who already helplessly assimilated
by edit.com and windoze's "point and drool" user interface.
Me for example, I still remember when first tried vi, and
that was a real nightmare! ;-)

Yes, but it isn't for any PC.  It's 32-bit pmode, needs at
least a 386 or better :)   The Gnuish port is 16-bit native
DOS, which will run happily on any 286s and below.
