Hi Chad,

Great! Glad you got to the bottom of that.

However, in your message you say ...

I don't follow you, Chad. Why would you be
disappointed in PK-Ware for something WinZip
is doing? Phil Katz didn't write WinZip, that's
published by Nico Mak Computing, Inc. (who are
now calling themselves WinZip Computing, Inc.).

WinZip has the flashier interface, and works a
bit more smoothly, but PKZIP 2.5 for Windows,
while a bit clunkier, gives the user better control
of the features.

I use both, but I use WinZip 6.3 (no ads) and
PKZIP/Win 2.5 (no ads). I understand that the
latest WinZip (7.0? 8.0?) has the adbot, and
PKZIP 2.6 also does ads (differently). I know
that with PKZIP, registering the product gets
rid of the ads. It's worth owning -- Phil's not
going to be writing anything new, but his work
is top drawer.
