Have you tried NWCDEX? I had DR-DOS 7.02 running with the
NWCDEX that came with it. I can't remember how much memory it
used; only that it could use the memory provided. I did, however,
have troubles playing audio CDs with NWCDEX, so went back to
the (old) version of MSCDEX provided by the multimedia kit install
disks.
