I've been using SHSUCDX for months without any problem. I've heard
recently that this prog might have difficulties with large directories,
but I haven't encountered this problem so far.

Here's an alternative:
ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/dos/fdcdex/

Another one should be CORELCDX, as I've been told. Probably
downloadable from Corel's website.
