When I worked for B of A, all the (then Dec) PCs were equipped with
removable harddisks. There are still removable ``cages'' for harddisks
available very cheaply (about $15. a case) that make a standard harddisk
into a removable one, physically and literally: You just slide it out
of one and slide it into another PC equipped with a similar cage.
These cages seem to fit most PC slots for CDs, floppies, etc.
