Hi Andy,

In case you still haven't been able to make Arachne
work I have prepared autoexec.bat and config.sys files
which should make your computer have enough free ram.
My autoexec.bat and config.sys are a modified version
of Charles Angelich's excellent startup files located
in his website:

http://www.undercoverdesign.com/
dosghost/dos/drdoscfg.asp

CONFIG.SYS
********************

DEVICE=C:\DRDOS\EMM386.EXE DPMI=OFF FRAME=NONE
DOS=HIGH,UMB
SHELL=C:\COMMAND.COM C:\ /E:1024 /P
LASTDRIVE=F
BUFFERS=20
FILES=20
FCBS=5,0
STACKS=9,256
LASTDRIVE=Z
DEVICEHIGH=C:\utilitie\DIAMOND\CDSETUP.SYS /T:I /P:170
/I:15
DEVICEHIGH=C:\utilitie\DIAMOND\TOSHIBA.SYS /D:DMSCD01

AUTOEXEC.BAT
******************
PROMPT $p$g
KEYB GR-
VERIFY OFF
BREAK ON
SET DRDOSCFG=C:\DRDOS
LH C:\DRDOS\CTMOUSE /2
LH SHSUCDX /D:%cdrom% /M:10
LH C:\ZIPTOOLS\GUEST.EXE
LH NWCACHE 256 64 /LEND=ON /DELAY=OFF A:-
LH C:\utilitie\DIAMOND\MSCDEX.EXE /D:DMSCD01 /M:12
LH C:\utilitie\DIAMOND\SNDINIT.EXE /b
SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 T4
PATH
C:\DRDOS;C:\NWCLIENT;C:\WINDOWS;C:\DOS;C:\internet\TWSK20;
C:\utilitie\DIAMOND;C:\EMM386;C:\

Simply rename your old autoexec.bat and config.sys and
copy these settings to new files.
I have added the necessary lines so that your zipdrive
will load as well as the CDROM.
I am 99% sure that you will be able to load arachne
from the zip drive. If it doesn't work e-mail me back.

Good luck

Inigo
