Well, that's the big question isn't it? Since mobile safari on iOS supports HTML5/CSS3 you could use CSS3 animations - but good luck finding a tool that will create these as easily as flash! There's a few that will convert flash content e.g. swiffy, wallaby for you and I believe Adobe are building a tool to do this (Edge??) but that's still in Beta
However, none of this has anything to do with SWFObject so you probably need to take your question elsewhere, sorry. By the way, flash should run perfectly well on Mac OS X if the user has flash player installed.
