Well, I suggest you read the docs and look at the examples as I suggested earlier.
DW (CS4+) uses swfobject when you do a insert > media > swf command. Adobe's code which they generate is a little more complex than need be, but it is using the SWFObject library, so the same docs on our site apply. I seriously suggest you have a thorough read of the docs though, so you understand what DW has inserted into your page, and how to modify as needed. @future/HTML5 - Well, nothing is guaranteed in the world of software. Moloko already gave you links to toolsets which do what you want (one creates animations with object etc from scratch (Adobe Edge) while the other converts your swf/FLA to HTML5 (Adobe Wallaby / swiffy )).
