I agree with that. SWINOG is a technical group, and not a association
with political goals.

But there are other assosciations: for example the SIUG. The Swiss
Internet User Group is not exactely a "user group". It tries to
mediate between users, providers and politics. Most of our board
members are techies, working for providers or elswere in the IT
business. If you are interessted in the social, technical and
political aspects of the net, feel free to join us.

As SWINOG, SIUG will also send in a Vernehmlassungsantwort to the FMG.
I wanted to post our answer here, but it is not finished yet and a
will be cut off the net for a week (military service).
