And here we go: some two and a half years after someone first tried, we
finally have SymPy working in Python 3. While this was the essence of my
GSoC project, I couldn't have done it without the help of all the other
developers, so thanks to all!
The only thing that remains is to update the README file to actually
mention how to use Python 3 to users, I'll submit a pull request for this
later today once I think of the appropriate wording. In the mean time, I'm
marking this as Fixed!
