on the topic of System 6 and new Macs ... I've discovered the joy that is Basilisk II for OS X:
http://www.users.bigpond.com/pear_computers/ I myself purchased a 12" PBG4 to replace my trusty old PB100, and found that (1) i couldn't find a dictionary/thesaurus program that was as complete or as useful my American Heritage Dictionary program, and (2) i've been having a lot of problems finding a word processor (that i like) for Mac OS X that doesn't choke (i.e., slow down) on large documents. the latter is pretty silly, considering that WriteNow 4.0 kicked butt on files exceeding 200k words, and many of the big "alternative" word processors out there (Mellel, Nisus Writer Express) just get more and more miserable the longer the document gets, and can't even handle 100k words without slowing down to the point of being irritating or unusable. But after a few hours of setup with Basilisk II, I now have my old PB100 in a shiny new computer, and I'm back to where I was, but with all the PBG4's advantages. -CAM __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
