Try Vmac rather than Basilisk, there's a OSX version. There is also a 
second program who's name is forgotten by me that will also emulate 
"classic macs". These programs give a more genuine emulation of sys6 
or below than Basilisk which I think you will find more to your 
liking.
So far I get only the blinking question mark disk. I cannot get it to 
recognize disk images yet, like e.g. the system 6.0.3 system tools 
image I downloaded from Apple's website.
