Bob C, Perhaps we Neanderthals can influence our later replacements (speaking of OS and CPU of course) by being part of a large group and, by increasing our chatter soce voce, stir some interest which is probably not contemplated by sort of making it known that we fossils are using stone tools very well if you please and therefore stirring interest. E.G. Modern day grocery shoppers need not do so in Farraris (spelling?) menaing the latest Imac but can do so in Model T(s) meaning a IIci that hardly ever breaks down, never needs gas, never get flat tires or runs out of o, always start up and shuts off nicely and for which there is an abundance of spare parts including complete Model T(s) that no one seems to want anymore.
I use a Mac IIci off line and a Mac 7300 online and have many spare CPU(s) and peripherals such as hard drives boht internal and external and floppies as well as about 1/2 dozen Image Writers. These CPU(s) and the eImage Writers are workhorses and the CPU(s) have a common interface when using OS 7.5.3 or 7.6.1 so that almost all my old software and data can be used on the 7300 (I think since I have not tried everthing). to be continued .
