It depends on whether it's part of your rate plan or is a separate item
not related to your rate plan.  If say you got the $39.99/600 plan and
part of it was to include a text message allowance you would lose it if
you switched.  If on the other hand it is an add on to your plan I'd
think you wouldn't lose it.  I know if I changed my present plan which
was billed as the "talk and text" plan I would lose my text message
allowance as it's part of the plan.  I'm not really sure and this is
only a guess.  If you really want to know and protect yourself go to
the T-Mobile page and find the comment/question page and ask a question
there.  You'll get an email response to your question within a couple days.
