My area code and exchange: (646) 919-xxxx.
My location: NYC

Last night i had a major problem with my voicemail, and maybe it had
something to do with the voicemail conversion. I live in NYC, and I
was underground in the subway for about 1 hour. A friend called me
and told me she had called me me earlier (when I was underground)
and had left a voice message. I called my voicemail and sure
enough, there was 1 new voicemail message waiting for me. I
wondered why I wasn't sent a text message. So I tested it out
myself. I called my cell from a landline phone and left a voice
message. Ten minutes later, still no text message. I called my
voicemail through my cell, and 1 new message was waiting for me.
What was going on? I called tmobile to get it straightened out. The
first idiot i spoke to told me to master reset my whole phone. Okay,
done. Tried again, and I still wasn't receiving text messages
informing me of new voice messages when I had them. I called T-
Mobile back, and the rep told me it had something to do with
voicemail conversion and my market may be undergoing the conversion,
so he couldn't put in a trouble ticket on my phone (samsung x475).
So for an hour and a half, we were on the phone, back and forth
trying to get this thing to work. I think you can understand my
frustration!! It was going totally BONKERS. Whenever I called my
voicemail and hung up, my own telephone number would call me back.
Weird! When I answered, it hung up on me after 5 seconds. Then it
would call back, even after I rejected the call. This would go on
and on until i turned off my phone. I had about 30 missed calls in
a matter of 10 minutes. When I turned it back on, it was fine--
until I called my voicemail! So what did the rep do? I told him to
just change my phone number to a NYC area code and exchange that had
already undergone the voicemail conversion. That way, I wouldn't
have to go through this craziness every day. Instead, he just reset
my whole voicemail so i had to set my password, redo my greeting,
etc. Anyone ever experience this? This is crazy. Does anyone know
when the conversion for (646) 919-xxxx will happen? Thanks!
