I don't think it has anything to do with the voicemail conversion.
Sometimes, I won't get text messages that indicate voicemail. For some
reason, the system fails to send those text messages, or they are
SEVERELY delayed, i.e. received the voicemail in the morning, and got
the text message the next day. Happened a few times to me.

Last night i had a major problem with my voicemail, and maybe it had 
something to do with the voicemail conversion.  I live in NYC, and I 
was underground in the subway for about 1 hour.  A friend called me 
and told me she had called me me earlier (when I was underground) 
and had left a voice message.  I called my voicemail and sure 
enough, there was 1 new voicemail message waiting for me.  I 
wondered why I wasn't sent a text message.  So I tested it out
