I have this problem all the time. One of the reasons I can't wait for the VM
conversion. Also because I'm a high volume SMS user vm alerts sometimes get
missed.

Sometimes I get the VM notification much later. All you can really do is
call CS and have a trouble ticket put in for the problem.
