Cingular does not use 1900 MHz in most areas for voice services any
longer. The exception are former AT&T Wireless users who happen to
connect to a former AT&T Wireless 1900 MHz tower, of which there are
very few left. The T-Mo-To-Go phones states "Cingular" in this area
on the screen. When manually connecting, the choices are Cingular,
T-Mobile, and AT&T Wireless. The AT&T Wireless selection is denied
but Cingular is accepted. Again, Cingular is only using 850 MHz for
voice services in most areas.

Connecting to "T-Zones" on a T-Mobile-To-Go phone states some
interesting things. In the "FAQs & Info" section of "My Account," the
entry entitled "About My T-Mobile-To-Go Plan", under "About Service
Area," section "Why do I have another wireless name on my phone screen
when I make a call?" states that "Roaming lets you use your phone on
the networks of other wireless service providers." Also, "Where can I
roam" states "Domestically; T-Mobile-To-Go markets." In this area
Cingular only uses 850 MHz for voice, as I already said.

I think the marketing term of "850 roaming" is confusing the issue a
little bit in our discussion. I'm sorry you gave up.
