Hi all,

I used to be on this mail list a couple of years ago, but glad to be
back again. I am a little disappointed to see so little activity out
there - hopefully its just the holiday season.

But I do have a question for the list. I am currently trying to find a
way to card weave in very small places - like on an airplane or train
for instance. My current method is to weave on smallish frame looms (say
10" wide by 16" long), using smallish cards (2"). I haven't really tried
this yet, but I think it will work. I am warping it around both sides of
the loom, back and forth around two sticks, controlling the tension by
tying the sticks together. This little set up would be good for short
samples, but most importantly to me I can pull it out quickly and easily
and do it in many places. Card weaving is so portable - it is one of its
major benefits. But I'm trying to make it even more so. So I was just
wondering if any of you have different solutions to this, or whether you
are even concerned about it.

Craig in Denver.
