Hi Pat,

This topic is timely for me as I am leaving in two weeks for a months travel
in South East Asia. Contemplating that interminably long flight, I hadn't
considered taking some tabletweaving but thanks to this list, I will now
<g>. My friend and I are taking carry-on backpacks only but I am sure I can
squeeze a small TW loom in somehow. I really haven't done much brocade since
taking Nancy's class at Convergence (sorry Nancy), but what a great
opportunity to re-aquaint myself with the technique. I might even leave the
little board Nancy supplied in her workshop with my 'Foster Parent Plan'
family after my visit. But then I won't be able to weave on the trip home.
Sigh...

Also, is there anyone on the list that has traveled in Cambodia, Laos,
Thailand or Malaysia and who has a suggestion for "must see" textile places?
I will be visiting Jim Thompsons in Bangkok and Luang Pabang in Laos (which
is now declared a national heritage site), but that is about all I know
about other than antique shops. I would dearly love to find something
tabletwoven such as Linda's delightful bag (see her website) but have not
succeeded on previous visits.

Judy (who needs to do some more c.c. skiing to get in shape for the trip)
